Pharmacy fit-out contractors in Musselburgh
Need pharmacy fit-out in Musselburgh? We survey the unit, draw the layout with you and give a fixed, itemised price before anything is ordered.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
What happens at the survey?
Every pharmacy fit-out quote for Musselburgh lists each element separately, so you can see what the layout, joinery, services and finishes each cost.
In and around Musselburgh we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants.
What is included?
- Retail shelving and health displays
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
- Consultation room with sound privacy
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
What should Musselburgh owners check first?
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
