A restaurant or café fit-out covers the dining area, the service counter and the back-of-house kitchen, including the extraction, gas, drainage and hygiene finishes the kitchen needs.

What should you check before you start?

Register your food business with the council at least 28 days before you start trading.
A new extraction flue often needs planning permission, and odour and noise reports may be asked for.
Kitchen gas work must be done and certified by a Gas Safe engineer registered for commercial catering.

A small café refit without a new kitchen extraction system can start from the low end of our range. A full restaurant with new extraction and a commercial kitchen sits at the top. We price from a survey, not a guess.

Do I need planning permission for a restaurant?

Change of use from shop to restaurant may need planning permission, and a new extraction flue usually does. We check the planning history during the survey.

Can you install the kitchen extraction?

Yes, we coordinate the canopy, ductwork, fan and make-up air as part of the fit-out.
