Pharmacy fit-out contractors in Edinburgh
We carry out pharmacy fit-out in Edinburgh and the surrounding parts of Lothian, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
How is the work priced?
Before we price pharmacy fit-out in Edinburgh, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Edinburgh we are usually asked to work on high street units and corner shops and boutiques and independent retailers.
What is included?
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
- Consultation room with sound privacy
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
What should Edinburgh owners check first?
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.

Do you build consultation rooms?
