A fashion fit-out is a retail fit-out tuned for garments: hanging systems at the right heights, fitting rooms that people are happy to use, and lighting that renders colour accurately.

Typical guide price£350–£750per m², ex VAT. Fixed price after survey.

Why does it matter?

Clothes sell when customers can see the colour properly and try them on without queueing. We design the hanging density, fitting room count and lighting colour temperature around your stock and your peak trade.

What is included?

  • Wall-mounted and freestanding rail systems
  • Fitting rooms with doors or curtains, mirrors and hooks
  • High colour-rendering track and feature lighting
  • Cash desk with wrap and storage
  • Window display plinths and backdrops
  • Stockroom racking

What should you check before you start?

  • Fitting rooms should include at least one accessible cubicle sized for a wheelchair user.
  • Lighting with a high colour rendering index costs a little more and makes a visible difference to sales of coloured garments.
  • Slatwall and track systems let you re-merchandise seasonally without calling a fitter back.

How do we price it?

We survey the unit first, then give you an itemised, fixed price with a dated programme. The range above is a starting guide; your survey confirms the real figure, including access, services and any landlord or planning conditions.

Questions people ask

How many fitting rooms does a boutique need?

Most independent boutiques manage with two or three, one of them accessible. We look at your expected peak footfall and floor area before recommending a number.

Can the rails be moved later?

Yes, if we use a track or slatwall system. Fixed rails are cheaper but tie you to one layout.

What lighting do you recommend for clothing?

LED track spots with a colour rendering index of 90 or above, mixed with softer general lighting. It shows fabrics as they really are.
