Pharmacy fit-out for Hastings businesses
Planning pharmacy fit-out in Hastings? Start with a free survey; we check services, access and approvals, then price the job line by line.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
What happens at the survey?
For Hastings jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Hastings we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and boutiques and independent retailers.
What is included?
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
- Consultation room with sound privacy
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
What should Hastings owners check first?
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
