Shop refurbishment and refit for Hastings businesses
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our shop refurbishment and refit work in Hastings is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
What happens at the survey?
Before we price shop refurbishment and refit in Hastings, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Hastings we are usually asked to work on showrooms and trade counters and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out
- Strip-out and waste removal
- Redecoration and new finishes
- Lighting upgrade to LED
- Replacement fixtures and counters
What should Hastings owners check first?
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
