Pharmacy fit-out for Lewes businesses
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Lewes use our pharmacy fit-out service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
How is the work priced?
For Lewes jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Lewes we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
- Retail shelving and health displays
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
What should Lewes owners check first?
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
Questions about pharmacy fit-out in Lewes
How soon can work start in Lewes?
Surveys are usually booked within one to two weeks. Your quote includes a start date and a dated programme.
Do you build consultation rooms?
Yes, with acoustic partitions, a door that closes, a hand basin and seating, sized for a wheelchair user.
Can you keep the pharmacy open during the refit?
Dispensing has to continue, so we phase the work and often build the new dispensary before moving across.
