How do we plan the job?
Before we price shop signage and fascias in Peebles, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Peebles we are usually asked to work on cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Electrical connection and timers
- Fascia panels and trays
- Built-up and illuminated letters
- Projecting and hanging signs
- Window vinyls and frosting
What should Peebles owners check first?
- Conservation areas often restrict internally lit box signs.
- Signs over the pavement must have a safe clearance above the footway.
- Illuminated signs normally need advertisement consent from the council.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
