Salon and barber shop fit-out for Peebles businesses
We carry out salon and barber shop fit-out in Peebles and the surrounding parts of the Scottish Borders, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A salon fit-out builds styling stations, backwash areas, reception, retail display and any treatment rooms, with the hot water, drainage and power each station needs.
How do we plan the job?
The survey for salon and barber shop fit-out in Peebles covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Peebles we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Styling stations with mirrors and power
- Backwash units with hot water and drainage
- Reception desk and retail display
- Treatment rooms and partitions
- Towel and colour dispensary
What should Peebles owners check first?
- Backwash units need hot water capacity sized for several basins running together.
- Treatment rooms offering special procedures may need a local authority licence.
- Hair traps on backwash drainage save costly blockages.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
Questions about salon and barber shop fit-out in Peebles
How soon can work start in Peebles?
Surveys are usually booked within one to two weeks. Your quote includes a start date and a dated programme.
Will I need a bigger water heater?
Often yes. Several backwash basins running at once need more hot water than a standard shop heater gives.
How many chairs can I fit in my salon?
As a rough guide each styling station needs around 1.2 metres of wall and space behind for the stylist to work. We draw it out at survey.
Is the survey free in Peebles?
Yes. We survey units in Peebles and across the Scottish Borders free of charge, with no obligation.
