Shop signage and fascias contractors in Galashiels
We carry out shop signage and fascias in Galashiels and the surrounding parts of the Scottish Borders, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
Shop signage covers the fascia sign above the shopfront, projecting or hanging signs, built-up and illuminated letters, and window graphics.
What happens at the survey?
For Galashiels jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Galashiels we are usually asked to work on cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Projecting and hanging signs
- Window vinyls and frosting
- Internal wayfinding
- Electrical connection and timers
- Fascia panels and trays
What should Galashiels owners check first?
- Conservation areas often restrict internally lit box signs.
- Signs over the pavement must have a safe clearance above the footway.
- Illuminated signs normally need advertisement consent from the council.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
