Suspended ceilings and partitions contractors in Penzance
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our suspended ceilings and partitions work in Penzance is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
Suspended ceilings and partitions form the shell of a fit-out: grid or plasterboard ceilings that hide services, and stud walls that divide the sales floor, stockroom, office and toilets.
How is the work priced?
Before we price suspended ceilings and partitions in Penzance, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Penzance we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants.
What is included?
- Drylining of existing walls
- Access hatches and making good
- Grid ceilings with lay-in tiles
- Plasterboard ceilings and bulkheads
- Metal stud partitions
What should Penzance owners check first?
- Grid ceilings give easy access to services; plasterboard looks cleaner.
- Stockroom walls should be built to take heavy racking fixings.
- Walls between a shop and a neighbouring unit or flat may need a fire rating.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
