How do we plan the job?
Before we price suspended ceilings and partitions in Falmouth, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Falmouth we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Plasterboard ceilings and bulkheads
- Metal stud partitions
- Fire-rated and acoustic walls
- Drylining of existing walls
- Access hatches and making good
What should Falmouth owners check first?
- Grid ceilings give easy access to services; plasterboard looks cleaner.
- Stockroom walls should be built to take heavy racking fixings.
- Walls between a shop and a neighbouring unit or flat may need a fire rating.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
