Showroom fit-out contractors in Ely
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Ely use our showroom fit-out service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A showroom fit-out creates a space where products are shown in use, with room sets, plinths, lighting and a sales area for sitting down with customers.
What happens at the survey?
Every showroom fit-out quote for Ely lists each element separately, so you can see what the layout, joinery, services and finishes each cost.
In and around Ely we are usually asked to work on cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Room-set partitions and display bays
- Plinths, podiums and product walls
- Feature and scene lighting
- Services to working displays
- Sales desks and consultation areas
What should Ely owners check first?
- Design the display walls to be demountable so ranges can change without rebuilding.
- Large glazed frontages may need solar control film to stop products fading.
- Working displays such as taps or appliances need water and waste runs planned at the start.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
