Shop refurbishment and refit in Brecon
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Brecon use our shop refurbishment and refit service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
How do we plan the job?
Before we price shop refurbishment and refit in Brecon, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Brecon we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and boutiques and independent retailers.
What is included?
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out

- Replacement fixtures and counters
What should Brecon owners check first?
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
In Wales, the Building Regulations are set by the Welsh Government and applied by local authority building control. Shopfronts, signs and extraction flues need checking with the local planning authority, and many Welsh towns have conservation areas with stricter rules on shopfront design.
