Shop refurbishment and refit contractors in Newquay
We carry out shop refurbishment and refit in Newquay and the surrounding parts of Cornwall, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
What happens at the survey?
For Newquay jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Newquay we are usually asked to work on cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants and salons, barbers and beauty clinics.
What is included?
- Replacement fixtures and counters
- Flooring replacement
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out
- Strip-out and waste removal
- Redecoration and new finishes
What should Newquay owners check first?
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
