Convenience store and supermarket fit-out for Kelso businesses
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our convenience store and supermarket fit-out work in Kelso is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
A convenience store fit-out lays out shelving, refrigeration, counters and security so a small footprint can carry a wide range and be run by one or two staff.
How is the work priced?
Every convenience store and supermarket fit-out quote for Kelso lists each element separately, so you can see what the layout, joinery, services and finishes each cost.
In and around Kelso we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants.
What is included?
- Chiller and freezer positions with dedicated power
- Counter with tobacco gantry and lottery space
- CCTV, intruder alarm and security shutters
- Anti-slip commercial flooring
- Signage and price-ticket rails
What should Kelso owners check first?
- Your premises licence plan may need updating if the alcohol display area changes.
- Tobacco and vapes must be stored out of sight of customers, so the gantry needs closing doors or shutters.
- Refrigeration needs dedicated circuits and ventilation space; confirm the supply capacity before ordering chillers.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
