What should Cirencester owners check first?

Stockroom walls should be built to take heavy racking fixings.
Walls between a shop and a neighbouring unit or flat may need a fire rating.
Grid ceilings give easy access to services; plasterboard looks cleaner.

In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
