Suspended ceilings and partitions contractors in Gloucester
We carry out suspended ceilings and partitions in Gloucester and the surrounding parts of Gloucestershire, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
Suspended ceilings and partitions form the shell of a fit-out: grid or plasterboard ceilings that hide services, and stud walls that divide the sales floor, stockroom, office and toilets.
How do we plan the job?
For Gloucester jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Gloucester we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and pharmacies and healthcare premises.
What is included?
- Grid ceilings with lay-in tiles
- Plasterboard ceilings and bulkheads
- Metal stud partitions
- Fire-rated and acoustic walls
- Drylining of existing walls
What should Gloucester owners check first?
- Grid ceilings give easy access to services; plasterboard looks cleaner.
- Stockroom walls should be built to take heavy racking fixings.
- Walls between a shop and a neighbouring unit or flat may need a fire rating.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
