Showroom fit-out in Dundee
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our showroom fit-out work in Dundee is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
A showroom fit-out creates a space where products are shown in use, with room sets, plinths, lighting and a sales area for sitting down with customers.
What happens at the survey?
The survey for showroom fit-out in Dundee covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Dundee we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Feature and scene lighting
- Services to working displays
- Sales desks and consultation areas
- Trade counter and collection point
- Room-set partitions and display bays
What should Dundee owners check first?
- Large glazed frontages may need solar control film to stop products fading.
- Working displays such as taps or appliances need water and waste runs planned at the start.
- Design the display walls to be demountable so ranges can change without rebuilding.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
