How do we plan the job?
The survey for shelving and display systems in Fort William covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Fort William we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Slatwall and panel systems
- Gondola and wall bay shelving
- Glass and lit shelving
- Pegboard, hooks and accessories
- Installation and fixing to structure
What should Fort William owners check first?
- Check shelf load ratings against your heaviest products.
- Tall units must be fixed to the wall or linked to stop them tipping.
- Leave aisles wide enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
