Shelving and display systems across Gwent
If you are opening, moving or refreshing a unit in Gwent, our shelving and display systems service covers the layout, the build and the paperwork, with work planned around your trading hours.
Shop shelving and display systems are the modular fixtures that hold stock: slatwall, gondola units, wall bays, glass shelving and pegboard, supplied and installed to a layout.
Working in Gwent
In Gwent we mostly see convenience stores and off-licences and pharmacies and healthcare premises. Each has its own landlord rules, service loads and access limits, which we look at on the first visit.
South Wales town centres, from the capital to the valleys, have many older terraced shop units where fit-outs need careful work around existing structure and services.
What does the work include?
- Installation and fixing to structure
- Layout planning around your stock
- Slatwall and panel systems
- Gondola and wall bay shelving
Planning and building control in Gwent
In Wales, the Building Regulations are set by the Welsh Government and applied by local authority building control. Shopfronts, signs and extraction flues need checking with the local planning authority, and many Welsh towns have conservation areas with stricter rules on shopfront design.
- Tall units must be fixed to the wall or linked to stop them tipping.
- Leave aisles wide enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Questions about shelving and display systems in Gwent
What aisle width do I need?
Wider aisles are better for accessibility; we plan aisles so wheelchairs and pushchairs can pass.
Can you reuse our existing shelving?
If it's in good condition, yes. We can refurbish and relocate it as part of a refit.
Do you cover Pontypool and the rest of Gwent?
Yes. We carry out shelving and display systems in Pontypool, Ebbw Vale and across Gwent. The survey is free wherever the unit is.
