How do we plan the job?
The survey for shelving and display systems in Glenrothes covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Glenrothes we are usually asked to work on cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Gondola and wall bay shelving
- Glass and lit shelving
- Pegboard, hooks and accessories
- Installation and fixing to structure
- Layout planning around your stock
What should Glenrothes owners check first?
- Check shelf load ratings against your heaviest products.
- Tall units must be fixed to the wall or linked to stop them tipping.
- Leave aisles wide enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
