Shop refurbishment and refit for Brentwood businesses
We carry out shop refurbishment and refit in Brentwood and the surrounding parts of Essex, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
How is the work priced?
Before we price shop refurbishment and refit in Brentwood, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Brentwood we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Flooring replacement
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out
- Strip-out and waste removal
- Redecoration and new finishes
- Lighting upgrade to LED
What should Brentwood owners check first?
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
