How do we plan the job?
The survey for convenience store and supermarket fit-out in Brentwood covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Brentwood we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and boutiques and independent retailers.
What is included?
- Gondola and wall shelving runs
- Chiller and freezer positions with dedicated power
- Counter with tobacco gantry and lottery space
- CCTV, intruder alarm and security shutters
- Anti-slip commercial flooring
What should Brentwood owners check first?
- Refrigeration needs dedicated circuits and ventilation space; confirm the supply capacity before ordering chillers.
- Your premises licence plan may need updating if the alcohol display area changes.
- Tobacco and vapes must be stored out of sight of customers, so the gantry needs closing doors or shutters.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
