Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Annan use our shop refurbishment and refit service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
How is the work priced?
Before we price shop refurbishment and refit in Annan, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Annan we are usually asked to work on showrooms and trade counters and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Redecoration and new finishes
- Lighting upgrade to LED
- Replacement fixtures and counters
- Flooring replacement
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out
What should Annan owners check first?
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
