Shop refurbishment and refit for Peterhead businesses
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Peterhead use our shop refurbishment and refit service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
What happens at the survey?
For Peterhead jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Peterhead we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Redecoration and new finishes
- Lighting upgrade to LED
- Replacement fixtures and counters
- Flooring replacement
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out
What should Peterhead owners check first?
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
