Suspended ceilings and partitions in Peterhead
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Peterhead use our suspended ceilings and partitions service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
Suspended ceilings and partitions form the shell of a fit-out: grid or plasterboard ceilings that hide services, and stud walls that divide the sales floor, stockroom, office and toilets.
How do we plan the job?
For Peterhead jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Peterhead we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Drylining of existing walls
- Access hatches and making good
- Grid ceilings with lay-in tiles
- Plasterboard ceilings and bulkheads
- Metal stud partitions
What should Peterhead owners check first?
- Walls between a shop and a neighbouring unit or flat may need a fire rating.
- Grid ceilings give easy access to services; plasterboard looks cleaner.
- Stockroom walls should be built to take heavy racking fixings.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
