Salon and barber shop fit-out for Livingston businesses
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Livingston use our salon and barber shop fit-out service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A salon fit-out builds styling stations, backwash areas, reception, retail display and any treatment rooms, with the hot water, drainage and power each station needs.
How do we plan the job?
Every salon and barber shop fit-out quote for Livingston lists each element separately, so you can see what the layout, joinery, services and finishes each cost.
In and around Livingston we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants.
What is included?
- Lighting that flatters skin tones
- Styling stations with mirrors and power
- Backwash units with hot water and drainage
- Reception desk and retail display
- Treatment rooms and partitions
What should Livingston owners check first?
- Hair traps on backwash drainage save costly blockages.
- Backwash units need hot water capacity sized for several basins running together.
- Treatment rooms offering special procedures may need a local authority licence.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
