We carry out salon and barber shop fit-out in Dalkeith and the surrounding parts of Lothian, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A salon fit-out builds styling stations, backwash areas, reception, retail display and any treatment rooms, with the hot water, drainage and power each station needs.
What happens at the survey?
Before we price salon and barber shop fit-out in Dalkeith, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Dalkeith we are usually asked to work on high street units and corner shops and boutiques and independent retailers.
What is included?
- Backwash units with hot water and drainage
- Reception desk and retail display
- Treatment rooms and partitions
- Towel and colour dispensary
- Lighting that flatters skin tones
What should Dalkeith owners check first?
- Hair traps on backwash drainage save costly blockages.
- Backwash units need hot water capacity sized for several basins running together.
- Treatment rooms offering special procedures may need a local authority licence.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
