Roller shutters and security for Newtown businesses
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our roller shutters and security work in Newtown is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.
How do we plan the job?
For Newtown jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Newtown we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Electric motor with manual override
- Key switch or remote control
- Powder coating to match the shopfront
- Annual service options
- Solid, perforated or punched lath shutters
What should Newtown owners check first?
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
In Wales, the Building Regulations are set by the Welsh Government and applied by local authority building control. Shopfronts, signs and extraction flues need checking with the local planning authority, and many Welsh towns have conservation areas with stricter rules on shopfront design.
