Roller shutters and security contractors in Portadown
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Portadown use our roller shutters and security service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.
How is the work priced?
For Portadown jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Portadown we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?

What should Portadown owners check first?
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
In Northern Ireland, fit-out work is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) and approved by the district council's building control team. New shopfronts and illuminated signs are checked by the council's planning department.
