Pharmacy fit-out for Forfar businesses
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Forfar use our pharmacy fit-out service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
How is the work priced?
For Forfar jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Forfar we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
- Consultation room with sound privacy
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
What should Forfar owners check first?
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
