Bespoke shop joinery and counters for Forfar businesses
Need bespoke shop joinery and counters in Forfar? We survey the unit, draw the layout with you and give a fixed, itemised price before anything is ordered.
Bespoke shop joinery is furniture made for your unit: counters, display cabinets, wall units, fitting room doors and feature pieces, built in a workshop and fitted on site.
What happens at the survey?
Before we price bespoke shop joinery and counters in Forfar, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Forfar we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Delivery and installation
- Workshop drawings for approval
- Counters and cash desks
- Display cabinets, lockable and lit
- Wall units and shelving
What should Forfar owners check first?
- Allow time for drawing approval before manufacture starts.
- Counters should include a lowered section for wheelchair users.
- Hard-wearing edges matter more than the face finish on busy counters.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
