Pharmacy fit-out for Dundee businesses
We carry out pharmacy fit-out in Dundee and the surrounding parts of Tayside, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
How do we plan the job?
The survey for pharmacy fit-out in Dundee covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Dundee we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
- Retail shelving and health displays
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
- Consultation room with sound privacy
What should Dundee owners check first?
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
