Pharmacy fit-out for Thurso businesses
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our pharmacy fit-out work in Thurso is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
What happens at the survey?
Before we price pharmacy fit-out in Thurso, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Thurso we are usually asked to work on high street units and corner shops and pharmacies and healthcare premises.
What is included?
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
- Retail shelving and health displays
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
What should Thurso owners check first?
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
