Pharmacy fit-out in Dumfries
We carry out pharmacy fit-out in Dumfries and the surrounding parts of Dumfries and Galloway, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
How do we plan the job?
Before we price pharmacy fit-out in Dumfries, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Dumfries we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and salons, barbers and beauty clinics.
What is included?
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
- Retail shelving and health displays
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
What should Dumfries owners check first?
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
