What happens at the survey?

For Thurso jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.

What should Thurso owners check first?

Conservation areas often restrict internally lit box signs.
Signs over the pavement must have a safe clearance above the footway.
Illuminated signs normally need advertisement consent from the council.

In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
