Shop signage and fascias across Highland
Businesses across Highland use us for shop signage and fascias because one team manages the design, the trades and the sign-off. We regularly quote in Inverness, Fort William, Nairn.
Shop signage covers the fascia sign above the shopfront, projecting or hanging signs, built-up and illuminated letters, and window graphics.
Working in Highland
In Highland we mostly see pharmacies and healthcare premises and high street units and corner shops. Each has its own landlord rules, service loads and access limits, which we look at on the first visit.
Highland towns serve wide rural catchments and visitor trade, and fit-out logistics need planning around longer delivery distances.
What does the work include?
- Fascia panels and trays
- Built-up and illuminated letters
- Projecting and hanging signs
- Window vinyls and frosting
What approvals might you need in Highland?
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
- Conservation areas often restrict internally lit box signs.
- Signs over the pavement must have a safe clearance above the footway.
