Commercial shop flooring is hard-wearing floor covering laid for heavy foot traffic: sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl tile, porcelain, resin and entrance matting.
How do we plan the job?
The survey for commercial shop flooring in Andover covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Andover we are usually asked to work on high street units and corner shops and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Resin and polished concrete
- Recessed entrance matting
- Anti-slip finishes for wet areas
- Subfloor survey and levelling
- Commercial sheet vinyl and LVT
What should Andover owners check first?
- Kitchens and wet areas need a higher slip resistance rating.
- A poor subfloor shows through thin vinyl; levelling is worth paying for.
- Entrance areas should have matting to stop rain being walked into the shop.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
