How is the work priced?
Before we price aluminium shopfronts in Andover, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Andover we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Powder-coated aluminium frames in any RAL colour
- Toughened or laminated safety glass
- Single, double or automatic doors
- Level threshold and accessible door handles
- Stallriser and fascia panel
What should Andover owners check first?
- Laminated glass holds together if broken, which helps security.
- A new shopfront usually needs planning permission, and more in a conservation area.
- Entrance doors should give a clear opening width that suits wheelchair users.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
