Bar and pub fit-out for Exeter businesses

A bar fit-out builds the bar counter and back bar, the cellar and beer line runs, seating and the lighting and acoustics that set the mood.
What happens at the survey?
The survey for bar and pub fit-out in Exeter covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Exeter we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and salons, barbers and beauty clinics.
What is included?
- Acoustic treatment and flooring
- Bar counter and back bar joinery
- Cellar cooling and beer line routes
- Glass washer, ice machine and sink positions
- Booth and loose seating
What should Exeter owners check first?
- Late-night venues often need acoustic treatment to satisfy noise conditions.
- Cellar cooling units need somewhere to reject heat, usually outside, which may need consent.
- Changes to the bar layout may need a variation to your premises licence plan.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
