How do we plan the job?
For Bodmin jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Bodmin we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Level threshold and accessible door handles
- Stallriser and fascia panel
- Measured survey of the opening
- Powder-coated aluminium frames in any RAL colour
- Toughened or laminated safety glass
What should Bodmin owners check first?
- A new shopfront usually needs planning permission, and more in a conservation area.
- Entrance doors should give a clear opening width that suits wheelchair users.
- Laminated glass holds together if broken, which helps security.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
