Retail shopfitting contractors in Bodmin
Need retail shopfitting in Bodmin? We survey the unit, draw the layout with you and give a fixed, itemised price before anything is ordered.
Retail shopfitting is the design, manufacture and installation of everything inside a shop that lets it trade: walls, ceilings, lighting, flooring, display fixtures, counters, fitting rooms and the services behind them.
What happens at the survey?
Every retail shopfitting quote for Bodmin lists each element separately, so you can see what the layout, joinery, services and finishes each cost.
In and around Bodmin we are usually asked to work on cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Partitions, drylining and ceilings
- Lighting, power and data first fix
- Display walls, gondolas and counters
- Flooring, decorating and final clean
- Measured survey and floor plan
What should Bodmin owners check first?
- Shopfitting inside a trading centre often has to run out of hours, so ask for a night-work price early.
- Fire alarm, emergency lighting and escape signage must be commissioned and certified before you open.
- Landlord consent and the lease's fit-out guide usually need sign-off before work starts.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
