Showroom fit-out for St Andrews businesses
We carry out showroom fit-out in St Andrews and the surrounding parts of Fife, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A showroom fit-out creates a space where products are shown in use, with room sets, plinths, lighting and a sales area for sitting down with customers.
How do we plan the job?
Before we price showroom fit-out in St Andrews, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around St Andrews we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Room-set partitions and display bays
- Plinths, podiums and product walls
- Feature and scene lighting
- Services to working displays
- Sales desks and consultation areas
What should St Andrews owners check first?
- Working displays such as taps or appliances need water and waste runs planned at the start.
- Design the display walls to be demountable so ranges can change without rebuilding.
- Large glazed frontages may need solar control film to stop products fading.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
