Showroom fit-out for Dorchester businesses
We carry out showroom fit-out in Dorchester and the surrounding parts of Dorset, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A showroom fit-out creates a space where products are shown in use, with room sets, plinths, lighting and a sales area for sitting down with customers.
How do we plan the job?
Before we price showroom fit-out in Dorchester, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Dorchester we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Room-set partitions and display bays
- Plinths, podiums and product walls
- Feature and scene lighting
- Services to working displays
- Sales desks and consultation areas
What should Dorchester owners check first?
- Large glazed frontages may need solar control film to stop products fading.
- Working displays such as taps or appliances need water and waste runs planned at the start.
- Design the display walls to be demountable so ranges can change without rebuilding.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
