Shop refurbishment and refit for Strabane businesses
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Strabane use our shop refurbishment and refit service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
What happens at the survey?
For Strabane jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Strabane we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Replacement fixtures and counters
- Flooring replacement
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out
- Strip-out and waste removal
- Redecoration and new finishes
What should Strabane owners check first?
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
In Northern Ireland, fit-out work is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) and approved by the district council's building control team. New shopfronts and illuminated signs are checked by the council's planning department.
