Roller shutters and security contractors in Guildford
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our roller shutters and security work in Guildford is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.
How do we plan the job?
For Guildford jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Guildford we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Powder coating to match the shopfront
- Annual service options
- Solid, perforated or punched lath shutters
- Open-mesh grilles for window display
- Electric motor with manual override
What should Guildford owners check first?
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
