Roller shutters and security in Nottingham
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Nottingham use our roller shutters and security service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.
How is the work priced?
For Nottingham jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Nottingham we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and pharmacies and healthcare premises.

What should Nottingham owners check first?
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
