Roller shutters and security for East Kilbride businesses
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in East Kilbride use our roller shutters and security service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.

Every roller shutters and security quote for East Kilbride lists each element separately, so you can see what the layout, joinery, services and finishes each cost.

What is included?
- Powder coating to match the shopfront
- Annual service options
- Solid, perforated or punched lath shutters
- Open-mesh grilles for window display
- Electric motor with manual override
What should East Kilbride owners check first?
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
