Roller shutters and security for Derry businesses
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Derry use our roller shutters and security service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.
How do we plan the job?
For Derry jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Derry we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?

- Powder coating to match the shopfront
- Annual service options
What should Derry owners check first?
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
In Northern Ireland, fit-out work is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) and approved by the district council's building control team. New shopfronts and illuminated signs are checked by the council's planning department.
